Okay so one of the two Brachymymex Depilis queens I got is shaking her butt up and down. Is she laying an egg?

Can you send a pic or a video of it, or did the queen stop?

Brachymymex Depilis are a really small species, and the camera on the phone I use sucks, not to mention using it on a queen this small.

Hmmm from my experience small species like Solenopsis molesta "drown" easily... Try to keep a good eye on her

I've read they like humid nest chambers and can dry out easily.  I found a couple and let them go as not the easiest to keep, though people do keep them.  Good luck with her :)

You should put a little bit of substrate to prevent drowning
