I went to bed at 5am it was normal out, nothing bad happening. Wake up today at like 2pm and bam just snow everywhere! I guess this means anting season is over for me.

Guess it's 8 long months of Hibernation.

Welp. I have never raised a colony. But I feel bad since you have to wait 8 months. In my area the actualy winter months are like 3. But it is still pretty cold. But not too long.

Ants are slowing down around here. The Dorymyrmex bicolor aren't nearly as active as they were a couple months ago. And, the Monomorium ergatogyna are slowing down as well.

Which is strange a little bit, because its still insanely hot here.

Things are slowing down a bit here too. Camponotus are rare, some small species come out mid day. Winters are only about 3 months here too, but it doesn't warm up for 4 ish and I'm guessing that's when flights start.

Hit "Like This" if it helped.
