How do I collect/find queens?

I don't know any methods for collecting queens except for going out and looking around if you have any suggestions please tell me below especially for city/urban areas

Light trading after it rains works also checking a pool after a rain you can see tons of Queens in the pool

You will find very few queen ants in the city in Southern California.

collected 7 species of queens and turned down 3 other species for collection in a 2 day jaunt is pretty good I would say and never catch queens in SoCal cities

Look in swimming pools on clear days that follow rainy ones.
