Any good links for a sugar water / nectar dispenser? I'd like to make one for cheap. Thanks.

Test tube setup entirely full of nectar, angled slightly up. You'll need some foil under the entrance because it will slowly leak out. Works really well, very cheap since you almost certainly already have test tubes or equivalent.

Drill a small hole in the side of container that you can seal. Fill it, seal it and the surface tension should hold in your liquid food. As long as air can't get in, which would displace the fluid and break the vacuum.

Crystals, how long do those nectar dispensers last before maintenance is required? The problem I have with my sugar water + cotton setups is that they only last about a week or two before they start to go bad. Does store-bought nectar have any antibacterial properties? Do they eventually need to be changed, or do they tend to run dry before then? Do the wicks need to be changed every so often due to mold/bacteria? If it's easier to point me to a source, please do; I don't mean to waste your time. Thanks!
Update - I moved this question to a separate post:
