Hey I recently purchased a Tar Heel ants mini hearth and am trying to move my tetramoriun ants out of their test tube and into there. But they won't leave the test tube and the ants in the mini hearth outworld seem to be lost like they can't figure out how to climb up the little stub of tubing to get into the nest. Dose anyone have any advice?

Just be patient. As well cover their new nest, aka the chamber area with cardboard and make it dark! Expose the rest to light, including their test tube.

Same issue. Currently have the test tube tilted slightly to encourage movement towards the entrance of the formicarium. Having a few workers look out and do their thing, otherwise they stay and its with this mentality I think. Why leave the tube? We've got water and things are fine. No need to leave. As it is, they are moving fly pieces into the tube so I think they are content there and so they won't until their current situation changes to a more undesirable one.
I'm going to run out of water soon and don't plan on refilling it. I'm hoping this will make their current living situation not as desirable and so they'll want to find a new one. ..4 inches forward and one to the right hopefully... I'm keeping the formicarium as a happier dwelling (Heating cable is located there + water) and the tube as an unpleasant (they are exposed to the natural light I deal with). It's been....3-4 days with this set up. Plan B is to introduce a lamp as a light source to make it less favorable "in the outworld."
