Hey there, I would like some help for identifying my queen I think it's a Lasius but I'm not sure at all.
1. Location of collection: In my kitchen's sink. She was probably looking for water ?
2. Date of collection: August 3, 2016
3. Habitat of collection: Grass yard, suburban area.
4. Length (from head to gaster): Around 7mm
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: Dark brown, with lighting she's more light brown and shiny and the gaster looks transparent.
6. Distinguishing characteristics:
7. Distinguishing behavior: She panicks if I let her in the light too long and she starts to hide the eggs from the light.
