Hi Exels1, I as well own a queen of the same species currently with some larvae. First they love spiders. I fed her a spider 3 days ago and between her and and her larvae, they ate everything but a leg. Second this isn't my first time owning these species. I actually live in wisconsin where in the winter it gets in the negatives and I hibernate them outside. They do survive it and in the spring when she and her colony becomes active she is a egg laying machine. It can take up to a week for them to wake up once brought into warm temps. How long did it take for your first workers after she layed eggs?
They as well have a good bite, so be careful
