Drew that is incredibly fantastic! You've made me the happiest gal in the world.

Edit: Down vote all you want Canadian Anter, you literally can't make my score any lower  :D  I am now computationally immune to all forms of electronic criticism.

I was checking if your score would go even lower since you said you wanted a permanent bad score I thought is was possible to make it worse :)

Integration with Facebook's like system may be a welcome change.

Basically anything other than this wretchedly tiny green and red arrow.  I was going to check out Elraen's forum at http://www.karincaciftligim.com/ to see what mods he has made to it, but it seems to be down right now.

Well it's not a bad idea, though I'm not sure it will be done easily as this system was already integrated.

Hit "Like This" if it helped.

Integration with Facebook's like system would also be a welcome change.

Disagree to the strongest possible extent. It is undesirable to plug Facebook into every obscure corner of the internet where they aren't already present with their tracking technology, recording every site you visit even if you don't have an actual account with them.  Shoving Facebook into this place would render the like/reputation/karma system immediately broken for those of us that run anti-tracking plugins.

Really, there was no change necessary to the reputation system.  If people wanted to see it, they could click on someone's profile.  There is, was, and will never be an actual need for "dislikes" in addition to "likes."

Even the idea of having the reputation number visible in each post, creates a sort of class system between members who have been here a long time, but for one reason or another, haven't posted content that is "liked" by other members, and those who have posted a much smaller amount of content, but whose content is much better received.

If I were one of the members who has hundreds or 1,000+ posts, but only a small proportion of likes, I would kind of feel ashamed that I've wasted so much time here in this forum, and that nobody loves me, and I might not post here anymore, because I would think to myself, "What's the point?"

I think every member is valuable, and every post has value.  I do not want the forum and posts turned into a point-based popularity contest.

I don't think everybody is as sensitive as you think they are.

I'm going to change it back to the old system of "likes" for now, and wait to hear more of people's opinions on it, even though it seems most don't care enough to even give one so far.

Sorry Reacker, but this might destroy that score you're so proud of.

Edit: Well look at that. The people screaming the loudest about this are happy now, and Reacker still gets his despicable reputation score.

He can't get any more despicable unless I change the PHP architecture of the server to 64-bit haha.

This.

As long as whatever meaningless and pointless internet karma system we end up settling on continues to say that I'm a terrible person, my auto-comedic sensibilities will be content.

That's okay. At this rate the universe will diffuse into uniform nothingness by the time I'm up even 1 million points.

Now let's give Reacker tons of likes so they are way up, just to confuse the system.
