I found a bunch of these queens and put them all in test tube set ups.

First time I have checked on these ladies in quite some time. One died because her test tube got moldy. But there are still at least 3 other queens with brood and one of them has cocoons! This is my first ant that has gone from mated queen caught from a nuptial flight to this stage. Only one has cocoons though even though most were caught on the same day. One girl is close behind though I think! I am really excited to see what happens!

One queen has several workers now (about 7?) I fed them their first meal of sugar and a dead insect and they are seemingly thriving. Many of my others aren't doing as well. Only one other has pupae and they all had eggs at roughly the same time.
