1. Location of collection: Walking along rocky trail
2. Date of collection: 8-27-2016 around 4pm
3. Habitat of collection: Granite quarry, heavily rocky area, surrounded by woods. Several types of Lasius in this area
4. Length (from head to gaster): ~9mm
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: black body, slight yellow/brown to legs
One of the few species we saw fly today, Lasius of some sort, L. Alienus? or a parasitic?
