I got this colony from a few Larder beetles I found around my home. I started with 4 females and 1 male. Now it has about 10-15 new larvae and more are hatching each week.

Nice. Do you have some skeletons to clean off?
I wish, the colony is too small and my mom would kill me
But yeah that's what Dermestid beetles are commonly used for.

I fed the colony with some meat and wow did they do good, larvae have doubled in size since last post, I will get another pic up if anyone wants to see the larvae.
Any high protein food should do well, pet foods being one of the more common. Look for the dog and cat foods that use meat as a primary ingredient (as opposed to using corn as the protein).

I have heard bad things from pet food[mites and stuff] and plus the meat is working wonders, thought it would smell but it doesn't they love hotdogs!
Check here for more photo updates as I can't post them on the forum [too big].
