I'm wondering where to find keys to different species. I've used antwiki.org previously with limited sucess. It might just be my untrained eyes, but I'm wondering if there are other keys out there I might find more helpful. Also a more descriptive diagram would probably help me a bit more too.

My question is where do most people find their keys, and are the best detailed and explained diagrams of ants broken down.

I'm not sure about comprehensive and visual keys, but you could try this: http://hol.osu.edu/

It has a large collection of keys and descriptions for most species, even though it seems more and more of these documents are no longer for public reading.

If you've enjoyed using my expertise and identifications, please do not create undue ecological risk by releasing your ants. The environment which we keep our pet insects is alien and oftentimes unsanitary, so ensure that wild populations stay safe by giving your ants the best care you can manage for the rest of their lives, as we must do with any other pet.

Exotic ants are for those who think that vibrant diversity is something you need to pay money to see. It is illegal to transport live ants across state lines.
