Amazing ants you sell, would highly reccomend Nurbs' Camponotus. Derpy's went from 7 before hibernation to almost 30 now. My Novomessor aren't doing as well, but the queen is an egg laying machine. Unlike any other ants I have ever seen, then again, I have never seen dorymyrmex...

In my quest to find more of the mystery undescribed shiny C. modocs, I grabbed lots of black Camponotus, not knowing what they were because it's hard to ID at night in the dark.

Just sorted them out, most were black Camponotus vicinus. Definitely not going to rear all of these, so selling them in a collection container, $20 for 4.

Need to offset the $250 gas I spent on the trip!

That is over collecting you irresponsible piece of ****!

Nah, nice work. I tried to count how many you had there. I lost count. I just know that's more than I catch altogether in most seasons.

The beauty of California nuptial flights TC. And also nurb's determination to catch every last queen.

These black C. vicinus are selling fast. Already sold 5 batches. Had no idea it'd be this popular. Might start do more of this in the future, just selling dealate queens after a trip to pay for gas.

Here's a video showing how easy they all were to find.

Hey nurbs, you interested in shipping some carpenter ants to my buddy in (insert something not in CA here)? I hear it's 100% legal! In fact, I know I guy who would trade fire ants for those cool carpenter ants. Ants Canada says they make awesome pets! They some of the coolest ants in the world according to Ants Canada! You can release them in your backyard and join #TeamACFans! Wouldn't it be awesome to have fire ants in your backyard! Together, we can expand the fire nation! Oh, by the way, I even have an overpriced 75 dollar plastic tub from him, it works great for...wait for it... Nothing! Gotta love high quality products!

13 of these left, so 3 batches left @ $20

Kept 4 for myself, but still have some from last season. So if any of you really want it I can part with it.

EDIT: Would you guys like some C. modoc? There's a good chance I'll grab more in the Eastern Sierras while looking for that mystery modoc.

Nurbs, how do you keep the queens within the cases? Like what else/ what modifications did you add?

You mean those small round collection containers?

I water it with a few drops of water from a syringe once a week. Some of the queens have eggs.
