Hey guys, quick sale. Collected about a dozen C. clarithorax dealates for 2018 season. Already have way too many ants, and don't have enough space to rear them all. They come in a test tube setup. 

 

You must be a CA resident to be eligible to purchase. You must also come and pick them up. No shipping. PM for more info.

Went to look for C. yogi but found more C. clarithorax instead.

 

Collected so much decided to put them together and see what happens. Surprisingly, they got along fine. No aggression! They might kill each other after the first brood emerges, we'll see.

You kidding? They are the absolute epitome of every antlovers dream, the prize colony, the endgame, the gold in a landfill, Drew’s most prized possession, even the sparkle in a hungry child’s tear. Pretty much the unicorns of antkeeping.

One more polygynous Camponotus vicinus left! Will have more this season in the summer, both C. vicinus and C. clarithorax with multiple queens.

How many quercicola did u catch, and how many made it to hibernation?

25 C. quercicolas, doing an experiment with them this year, so some might die. It's why I grabbed so many.

 

Hibernation from last year? All of them made it, as long as they are fertile. These ants are easy to rear.
