I was excited.
Then I saw you are in Houston I'm still waiting to find a colony here in California or one to go up for sale lol...but no one sells this species very often (meaning at all thus far).
Such an amazing ant! Anyone who lives around you is sure going to get an amazing colony if they take the offer.
What makes these so amazing?
Their very alien-like appearance, plus they aren't supposed to be hard to keep either from what I was told. Not very big colonies, so they are a lot easy to maintain. Unlike Solenopsis invicta, for example, which grow to a crazy size (many tens/hundreds of thousands).
Mostly for me, its their very "exotic" appearance. They are really unique. Very unique for North American ants especially, since most of the "exotic" looking ants are in other countries. But, I've never even seen a Pseudomyrmex worker while I've been out anting. Just pictures/videos.
