what do i feed my camponotus sayi queen and 6 or 7 workers??

i got a cat food pellet and a little bit of ham in there and a little bit of honey....  ty

I wouldn't worry much about protein for the first meal, I'd just worry about sugar [carbs] for the workers and queen, since it took most of her energy to make that first batch of workers.

 

After a few more days I'd try feeding them a small piece of insect for protein.

I have had several colonies of C. sayi. Their staple diet consists of various organic fruit juices mixed with sugar (sometimes water is added to ensure it isn't overly viscous). Small colonies are given fruit flies. Larger ones are given meal worms. I only have two colonies left, but they are both over 10 years old. Feed them and they will not fail.
