What's it going to take for the left to open their eyes. How many Islamic terror attacks in the last 3 months alone? This is a 'peaceful' religion? Where is the peace? Trying to link it to Breivik is really really stupid. The timing was pure coincidence. I saw all kinds of people claiming "it must be a neonazi!!!!" but as far as I know the shooter was an 18 year old Iranian-German who had just been expelled from their equivalent to high school.

 

The probability of this being related to Islam is very high...the probability of it relating to Breivik is astronomically low. Stop spreading that stuff, Batspiderfish.

It was linked to the anti immigrant tensions here, as subverted said he was iranian/german. It could be related to ISIS, but only more time will tell. Please keep the posts a touch more calm for me please jedi. I really want to agree, but this sounds more like racism to me (or religionism as the Catholics have also done great atrocities in the name of a peaceful religion[and i am a confirmed roman catholic])

No ties to ISIS this time. Just a troubled kid in the crossfire of anti immigrant sentiments. It's hard enough growing up, a little tolerance and acceptance in this case might have helped. Although it won't help always i agree.

i can quote violent video games could be involved...a book written by an american...mental illness also (as linked in the washington post). it's not just one thing...however i believe personally if people accepted immigrants in america like it should be (since only the native americans are truly american...the rest are immigrants themselves), then maybe it might be a touch less of a problem. staying out of the middle east in the last 20+ years would've also been an amazing idea to start, but here we are now.

I'd just like to clarify that you are indeed saying anyone who isn't American Indian but was born in America is an immigrant?  I'm not completely sure if this is a language barrier of some kind, or if you are really that much of a supremacist.

I don't think many if any here truly understands what it takes to integrate into a new country that speaks a language you've never really heard before. It truly is the most humbling experience in my 28 years. As a legal immigrant it is at best difficult daily, and at worst...well lets just say i miss my customs and traditions.

This is the only news source that claims this happened, and it is contradictory to the other things he said. If he really were shouting this, then there obviously would be more than one person that heard it. There's no physical evidence connecting him to an Islamist group, only books about mass shootings.

CNN is generally considered pretty reliable, nobody is claiming that he shouted "allahu akbar" but rather that a woman who was INSIDE the McDonalds heard that, and as far as I know the "other things he said" appear to be a misrepresentation of the parking structure video. Seemed like the person in the apartment was the one saying anti-turk/immigrant comments to me...not the shooter who was on the roof of the car park but my german is admittedly rough.
