As some here may know once upon a time I had the website armyants.org. Earlier this year due to financial issues I had to let the registration expire. Imagine my surprise to find that not only has the domain been reregistered  which I have no issue with but the site is running all my content as well. Although it is nice that the data I worked years to put together is still available as far as I am concerned they are  miserable bloody thieves. Now I have to go thru the headache of getting that content pulled down. Bahh I don't have the energy for that.

What? That's crazy. Shouldn't be too much trouble. Looks like they're hosted by Google.

Seems like they are hosting the content on Google Cloud servers... You can probably file a complaint through here:  https://support.goog...legal/go/report

Look at that sketchy online casino ad they inserted at the bottom. Shame on them.

And so it continues, the continuing saga of the poaching of the armyants dot org site content. I have gone thru their "complaint process." so far with no results. Pasted below are the emails back and forth. It is obviously too difficult for them to figure out. Most recent top to bottom.

Hi there

Ok lets try this again. I do not think it should be too difficult and should be considerably easier to understand compared to some of these complaints you must get. I used to own the domain name Armyants.org. and all content on the site. I was forced to allow the domain to expire and someone else has since registered it. I understand and accept that and that is not the issue. I discovered recently though that they are continuing to display all of my old site content. Every single word, punctuation mark, image and map on the current armyants.org website belongs to me and was produced my myself. At no time was permission of any sort given to the current holder of the domain name Armyants.org to utilize my copyright material in whole or part. If you go to the website and look at it you will my material, click on any link and you will see more of my material. There is one item (Thanks to our main supporter site: www.newcasinosites.org) which they added to the main page. That is their material not mine, everything else on the entire site belongs to me and needs to be taken down immediately. If you have any further questions please contact me

Thank you

Gordon C. Snelling

> Hi thanks for the reply. It is pretty simple. The entire content of armyants.org is the copyright material in question. When I was forced to allow my ownership of the domain to expire someone else renewed it. They are continuing to post my copyright material without my permission. as an example this page.

That's unclear?

The people that work at Google should know how to use the internet. Maybe this will make it more clear.

Well they finally seem to have figured it out

http://armyants.org/...spendedpage.cgi

However just this morning I got yet one more email from them saying they had no clue what I was talking about.

" Hello,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

Upon recent review of the following URLs, we were unable to locate the content in question:

http://www.armyants.org

If this matter is still a concern, please reply to this email with detailed information to enable us to locate the content and we will further investigate your request."
Will be interesting to see if the content stays down

Since they seem a bit dull, I would just point them to any of those old cached copies of the website on archive.org from before the domain ownership changed.

Good point however as long as the content does not reappear I guess all is good.
