How about a Euro section as this forum is mainly US based. It would be easier to find posts related to ants from Europe

That's an interesting idea.

I would add that such a section should be as large in scope as possible, rather than just a small sliver that would otherwise be neglected.  Duplication of browsable categories, not content, would be the goal.

It is rather tricky, as forums that generally have separate sections based on geography or language, typically replicate the entire forum structure, as in the case of AntStore's forum.

The problem is too many categories or subforums overlap. As I make more subforums, I want to make sure the overall logic and organization of the forum still makes sense. Otherwise you end up with what you see on a lot of other forums--an unorganized mess.

Make sure to include a separate English section.

A custom solution would be best.  I suggest a dropdown or picker button toward the very top of the UI, where users are able to switch between North America, Europe, or (possibly) All.

The function of the picker would be to show or hide localized subforums.  Many subforums would remain in both layouts, and users could switch between the two as if they were two separate forums, even though they would be the same forum.

Here is the Current tree structure:

You're talking about a filter basically. That would definitely be cool. If there was a way to do it, you know someone is going to have to be tasked to go through every single post and tag them accordingly.
