Hello Everyone,

My name is Jesse - I am a biologist by trade currently working out of LA.

I have been interested in invertebrates my whole life, and kept a variety of things in captivity over the past 15 years or so - tarantulas, scorpions, millipedes, centipedes, beetles, etc.  Although most of my invertebrates are of the dead variety - pinned or ethanol preserved.

Over the past 3 years I have slowly branched out into Hymenoptera, and have been learning what I can about ants.

In all honesty, I was just looking for some ant websites to broaden my knowledge and stumbled upon this forum. I had no idea there was quite such a developed hobby on ant keeping!

Anyhow, I look forward to discussing ants and learning from the members of this forum, and you never know ............maybe actually keeping some ants someday.

:D

Thanks Drew!

When it comes to ants and ant-hunting, my current expertise lies in getting bitten and stung.
