Hey guys, quick update.
 
Crematogaster cerasi C-1
2^nd surviving nanitic eclosed yesterday, or possibly late night Wednesday.

 
Aphaenogaster picea A-2
She has one pupae that looks almost ready to emerge.


Tapinoma sessile T-1
Added a new tube to their setup. Was tired of all of the brood in the outworld.

Lasius alienus L-1
This colony has moved through a couple different setups and seems to do nothing but thrive. Awesome species, and fun to watch.

Still a bunch of eggs, and maybe some small larvae. Pretty much the same with all of my Lasius neoniger.

Hey guys. Had an explosive last few days. Expanded my collection about about 16 queens, and 2 new species.

 

Current inventory. (not includeing ponera sp.)

First off, i caught a Ponera pennsylvanica colony, roughly 14 workers. I know i have a queen for sure, but possibly more then 1? Not sure, but the size difference is similar to trap jaws and having queens roughly the same size as her largest workers.

 

Caught 9 P.imparis queens yesterday. Was really happy to find that many from an hour long walk on the sidewalk around town. These queens are known to be polygamous, so i put them together in small groups of 2. (one group of 3)

 

Caught some small parasitic Lasius sp.

I put the larger Parasitic Lasius sp. queen in there for size comparison.

Another update.

 

Aphaenogaster picea A-2 

First nanitic eclosed. Beautiful little girl she is.

 

Camponotus noveboracensis C-14 

First nanitic eclosed. 

 

Crematogaster cerasi C-2

Now has 6 nanitics. Small colony is starting of well.

 

Ponera pennsylvanica P-5

12 worker founding colony collected from dead log.

Welp, i've decided to keep the colony in the community. They've yet to give me an issue with any of my other insects.

Here's the community as of today.

 

Ants are T.sessile.

So far they've shown no aggression towards tank mates.
