Hey there everyone. My name is Bryan and I am from Puerto Rico but recently moved to California. Looking forward to start back in the hobby here since back in Puerto Rico I didn't know anybody else that liked it.
Looking forward to meeting you all!

Oh boy, Los Padres right in your backyard. Should be lots of opportunity not far from you. How does one end up in King City from PR?

hello Bryan welcome to the forum! What species did you try to keep while you were in Puerto Rico? The several times I have been to Puerto Rico I always find myself up in the rain forest of el Yunque and I am sure the ants there are wonderful!
Current Colonies;
Acromyrmex Versicolor
Dorymyrmex Bicolor
Pogonomyrmex Californicus
Pogonomyrmex Rugosus
Pogonomyrmex Tenuispinus
Novomessor Cockerelli
Myrmecocystus Mexicanus

Hey there NightsWebs, I am from the opposite direction of El Yunque. I am from the top west of the island.
The most common one is solenopsis invicta (fire ant),
black garden ants,
Ghost ants
And my favorite was a type of bulldog ant.
I saw a couple more species but never could identify them. I also always saw a big orange ant queen that I never found the name for, but I was never succesful keeping them.
I didn't really now anybody else that liked ants in the island so I collected what I could alone lol.

I actually got involved in the hobby not long ago and stumbled on this forum only because I was attempting to get a queen from a GAN keeper and that keeper was Drew here on the forum.
