Is there some reason I have such a hard time finding any mention of any Camponotus sugenera anywhere online now? It seems no websites list any subgenera anymore.

The main Camponotus article on AntWiki has a good list of them off on the right hand side: http://www.antwiki.org/wiki/Camponotus

Here is a table listing the subgenus w/ each species alphabetically: http://www.antwiki.o...ies_by_Subgenus

As for that info disappearing anywhere else I can't really comment on. Wikipedia has never been very good at properly representing taxonomic relationships...but AntWiki seems fairly solid.

Well Antwiki and Antweb used to have the subgenus in parenthesis, but I never see it anymore.

Oh...that's pretty odd then! I wonder what's up with that...
