It's a Camponotus species, one is a queen one appears to be a major, and not a queen.

I have a major and a median (or young major) with her. I couldn't catch too many and get them all in the same vial. They are pretty fast.
IMHO of course.

Was this like a Colony that you found? was there more workers? can you go back to the nest and get more? if so I'd recommend doing that, as if she is from a nest she will need all the workers you can get, it's really hard to get queens to "restart" once they've had their first batch of workers, without a bit of workers

Neither colony was very large and she did have a few nanitics but those got dead when I picked em up.
IMHO of course.

Not sure I have a queen in the pic with yellow ones, maybe just major, but if so she was the only one even near her size.
IMHO of course.

I think I can retrace but the nest was kind demolished. Was this like a Colony that you found? was there more workers? can you go back to the nest and get more? if so I'd recommend doing that, as if she is from a nest she will need all the workers you can get, it's really hard to get queens to "restart" once they've had their first batch of workers, without a bit of workers

In the first and second picture the queen seems to be the large black one (first) and the ant to the right (second).
I'm not entirely sure though.
The third picture features no queen.

original ID, i am thinking Camponotus Cf. americanus, bc it is too big for texanus, and novaborcenis is not found here as well as ligniperda.
IMHO of course.
