Hello,
I was wondering if someone could help me ID the species of this queen I found on Saturday 05-14-2016? I live in NYC and found this queen in a rotted piece of wood in wooded park. I want to say it's a Monomorium Minimum queen, but I'm not sure. I found her with 4 workers and some pupae. She is super tiny, maybe 4 millimeters (if even that much)
1. Location: Bronx, NY
2. Date of collection: 05/14/16
3. Habitat of collection: Wooded public park in a rotted piece of wood. The piece of wood was located under direct sunlight in an open clearing on a grassy field.
Appreciate any help with confirming her species.
