Hey guys I'm new here, so sorry for any mistakes. I still can't figure out how to post photos. Here is my question. Yesterday i caught a queen in a nest and her gaster was swollen bright yellow, with her black gaster segments looking like stripes. And today she is completely black, without a swollen gaster. Any thoughts?

Oh yeah forgot to say, she does have eggs. Maybe she swells up when she's full of eggs?

That, and like all ants, when they fill up on food.
