Redwood Forest Ant Diversity?

I am planning to take a road trip to northern California this summer and am particularly interested in seeing the Redwoods. However, it sounds like the ant diversity will be relatively low in this region. Has anyone gone anting there? What sort of interesting ant genera (if any) might I come across there?
