I found this colony inside a rotting tree stump yesterday. They have roughly 100 workers, a few larvae, and a good amount of eggs. The queen is the same size, if not smaller than the largest worker. I am thinking that it may be a parasitic so. Such as A. tennesseensis. They are in one of Crystal's formicariums. So far they like mealworms, and trying to drain my liquid feeder... The queen is looks like a blob of honey! She is the coolest color. The workers have the color on their
Gaster.
