I bought these little acrylic containers 1 3/8 round by 1/2 in high. Drilled a 7/16 hole and a 1/4 hole for hydration ,feeding, watering and moving them. Just need to add a little hydrostone aND substrate to bottom. I have been playing around with them on water. I just really hate test tubes. Thsee are 12 for 2.50. I think these will make nice little founding chambers.

Cool, but you will lose a lot of water fast because of the cotton plug on the outside end of the reservoir. You should find something solid to plug that end with.

Actually the water is not going to stay in that tube at all.

I have found that out. I have been adding only enough water to keep the cotton wet. It last me 3 days .But your right if you fill it up it runs right out. Do you have any suggestions on how to keep water in?

I thought about trying a drip leg, if you follow me. This would allow a water resaviour and wick into the cotton. It's simple, I just haven't tried it yet.
