I sure would like one of the 3"x5" nests with outworld #3.  How much would that total with shipping to 95129?

Also, do you have an aspirator for sale?  Do you use an aspirator for catching escapees and moving workers around and whatnot?

About $16 for the nest and outworld.

I don't have an aspirator for sale, most of my local ants are Formica or Camponotus, which means aspirators must be used with care due to formic acid vapors.  Personally, for larger wild nests I use an aspirator made from a 32ounce deli container and a small dustbuster as suction.

I rarely ever have escapees, but for the odd one that does go wandering during feeding I use a pair of featherweight forceps.  I will have to double check if I have any left, but otherwise I get them off of ebay.

If you happened to have a large colony of a species that stings (Solenopsis invicta or others), then I would definitely have a small dustbuster aspirator on hand in case of a massive escape.

Hey I was wondering if those tweezers are small enough to fit into the entrance of a Haven formicarium? I have run into a problem with mold.

Around 10mm. And I have absolutely no idea on where to get the other options either.

Updated prices on the Camponotus colonies - I have a few too many colonies in test tubes and not enough room to give them anything bigger.

They are starting to get difficult to feed in the test tube.  :D

I can ship nests, outworlds, and supplies anywhere in the world.

Sorry, but I cannot ship the queens past the Canadian border.

All nests pictured are available, unless noted above.  I do have other nests and outworlds, and will post pictures when my last batch of nests finishes curing.

Feel free to email me for a shipping quote.

There are even a couple of free formicariums if you pay for shipping.

Hey Crys,

Beautiful things you made up there !

I'd like to know how you make your nests in the framework ? And doesn't the wood rot when you moister the nest ?

Thanks a lot !

All of my tutorials are posted on this site, and are linked in the tutorial section here:  http://www.formicult...of-handy-links/

Some are picture tutorials, and there are a couple of videos in there as well if you read further on in the tutorial.

The wood does not get wet when watering the nest, because it isn't actually touching the nest.  The piece of glass is between the nest and picture frame edging.  The nests themselves are made out of grout or firebrick.

The nests are also on little coaster feet, so they won't damage any wood or paper that it is set on.  I started doing that after creating the tutorials.

Updated everything so it is correct.

I still have a bunch of young Camponotus colonies.  One of the queens still has her wings.

I am also putting up 2 of my personal colonies for sale as I am running out of room on my shelf.

Probably once the snow falls.

During Spring, Summer, and Fall I get really busy with outdoor work.  Our warm weather is so short up here.

Were you interested in a particular size, pattern, or color?  I know I am out of 5x7's in a natural pattern.

I wanted a 5 X 7 pretty badly. I don't care about color too much. I just don't like the bird. Could you also give me a shipping quote to Naperville Illinois?

The 5x7's are first on my list, I may find time to start one this weekend.

Shipping is coming out to $18 for just a 5x7 nest.

No worries.  It only takes seconds to do a quote.

A 5x7 nest with a large outworld would be $30.  A small outworld would be a bit less.

It really depends how much spare time I end up with.  Possibly a week.

Are you after grout or firebrick?

I did dig through my pile, I do have a 5x7 firebrick nest left - in the picture it is the one in the top right corner.  It was on hold, but I haven't heard anything from the person in 2 weeks so it is back up for sale.

I also have a 5x7" grout nest with a crack in the glass and a crack in the grout (no ants can escape).  If you want that one, it is only $5.

Can you put the 5 X 7 on hold for me with a large outworld? Both of the ants I am putting in these are very small(solenopsis molesta) are the cracks large enough for these to escape?
