Hi so I recently got a colony of harvester ants and am keeping them in a natural set up.
This is my first time keeping Pogonomyrmex ants and I'm wondering if it's normal for them, after eating to seal up there nest entrances.(also sry if this is in wrong part of forum I'm new to this)

You mean Pogonomyrmex? and after reading journals about Drew's Pogonomyrmex calif., seems they "disappear" after their foraging time. Not sure if this is the similar situation. Can you give more info? How many workers when do you feed them, typical temp they are at, etc.

There are only 5 or 6 workers and I feed them around once a week

It's spelled Pogonomyrmex subnitidus. Sealing up the nest entrance when they are not foraging is normal behavior.
