Could it be Camponotus clarithorax?
that's what the key would suggest, but I wasnt sure if that is all inclusive or not?

Without a measurement it's a little hard to ID them.
Edit: Never mind, that looks like graph paper they're on. Am I right? Is that queen around 15 mm?

Yes it is about 15mm, maybe on the larger side of that.
In the second photo that isn't a clypeal notch??? Here I thought I was finally getting a handle on ant anatomy.

I don't think so. I think that is the ant's mouth parts. The clypeus is the ridged section just below the scapes. You have the head tilted way back, so it's hard to see it right.
