So i found this ant while i was passing by my local school. Almost ran over it with my bike. At first I thought it was a Pogonomyrmex worker, but it looked off. And sure enough, it was off.

I'm not entirely sure if it is a queen or not, but I'm 80 percent sure it is.

if you need a clearer picture, just ask.

The picture doesn't seem to show up for me, not sure if anyone else can see either.

Edit: Oh nevermind, it's in link format.

Images seem too blurry to tell, but it looks like some kind of dolichoderine ant. Perhaps Dorymyrmex or just a random lone Linepithema queen.

You are going to need to click the "more reply options" button in the bottom right of your post and then navigate to the bottom of the text box where there should be an "Choose File" button. You can select your picture from there and then click "Attach This File" to upload it to Formiculture. Then you need to click the "Add to post" button to add it to the post.

Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest. -Proverbs 6: 6-8
