So I wanted to start a thread for people in this area because I feel like there isn’t really any attention paid to this area of Canada, I hope that there is enough members to help contribute to this thread.

 

just saying it’s going to be 16* C (dunno how to the the circle thing) but I doubt the snow will melt enough by then

Currently keeping:

 

1x Formica subsericea, 20+ workers + a decently sized brood pile (35-40)

1x Crematogaster cerasi 3 workers with brood (been going all winter)

I'm Canadian, but on the west, in British Columbia. I can still update data and flights from my area if need be.

But yeah definitely true, there's not much interest around these areas in general I'd say. Hopefully we can get more folks on the thread!

Manica invidia (1 queen +  ~20 workers)

Lasius niger (single queen + ~100+ workers)

Lasius neoniger (3 single queen + brood)

Formica spp. (Queen - infertile?)

Formica pacifica (Queen - infertile?)

Tetramorium immigrans (1 queen + ~1100 workers)

I guess I can, It is just that I wanted an thread for eastern Canada  :(
