I haven’t been active in the community for a while but, about a month ago, I received two Novomessor cockerelli queens from Brad. So why not start a journal. I’ll provide updates whenever possible.

So far, they’re doing fine. One queen is significantly more productive than the other, with a larger brood pile and more workers. The other is a bit behind, but it’s doing alright.

The first queen has a total of 7 workers (not all are visible in the photo). I plan to move this colony into a nest in the next few days or weeks.

Second queen, 2 workers total.

The colony I got from you a while ago is great they have around 50 workers now! Also, Tyr_ Ant these ants are my favorite colony though it seems like your feeding then a little much for their size.
