All i've got is worthless gold.
Look for any natural areas with abundant *native* vegetation. Edge habitats, for example where a forest meets a clearing, will have the highest amount of diversity of all types of organisms, ants included.
Thanks so much!

I highly recommend purchasing a national park pass and visiting/camping in as many of the ones close to you as possible. You will be able to find a lot more unique species as well as a higher abundance of ants. Over a few years, you will become intimately acquainted with the species in your local area and where to get them. Let others in Washington know what ants you find and where!
