Since my birthday is coming up soon (April 24) and I have decided that I am going to get a queen ant and some supplies to make a formicarium out of, I want some cool species of ant that I can consider. For the queen I am probably getting Veromessor pergandei. But I want to know any other cool species that I can keep (Just make sure that they are available to nevada). For the nest I will do something like the nest in this vid here, just instead of grout I will use hobby lobby perfect cast.

I would get neodymium magnets to keep the glass on, and I know that Veromessor, pogonomyrmex sp. pheidole sp. are fun and myrmecocystus when they get back in stock.

And many Carnivorous plants such as: Dionea muscipula (fly trap), Sarracenia x 'Fiona' ( American Pitcher plant), Nepenthese ventrata (Tropical Pitcher plant), and Pinguicula agnata x emarginata (Butterwort) (show off your plants here)

Godzilla thread

Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores it's provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest. Proverbs 6: 6-8
