hey all, I bought novomessor cockerelli, and they came yesterday. 

 

They have six workers, and two large larvae with a batch of eggs. Both the queen and workers look nice and fat, I gave them a mealworm and some ant honey when I got them. I saw that they fed some of the mealworm to the larvae, and drank the ant honey almost immediately.

 

does anyone have anything they’d like to share? I’m relatively new to cockerelli.

 

 

have them at 90 degrees.

Colony is doing good, they have a bunch of tiny larvae mixed in with the eggs.

 

The second gen-nanitics is crazy, the pupae are much bigger than the nanitics.

she’s come alive !!!!

 

one of the pupae eclosed, and so many of the eggs hatched. Queen is doing good, and i’m feeding this colony one mealworm head a day.

Its that too much?Pretty sure well in my own opinion I would feed them half a mealworm every 3-4 days. Also good luck with your colony
