Where does everyone get their kentucky bluegrass seeds?

You can also use dandelion seed, but I get my blue grass from THA, but this would also work.

Someone recommended the Wonderlawn Kentucky Bluegrass seed to me and I ordered a 1lb bag on Amazon. It has a “water saver coating”, so I wrote to the company and this was their response:

Thank you for reaching out. Our Water Saver seed coating is not a certified organic product, and I am not sure how it would affect an ant population. There are no herbicides or insecticides in this coating though. The Water Saver seed coating is made up of lime, polycoat, nude colorant, and azuba. The goal of this coating is only to create a sponge around the seed that absorbs water to help keep the seed from drying out while it is trying to germinate. Once the seed is established this coating biodegrades into the soil.

I hope that helps answer your question. If you are looking for a raw, uncoated Kentucky Bluegrass, the ACE Hardware brand is raw seed as well as the Schultz brand at Menards.
