Hi there, I was wondering how you guys get bee colonies? Do the queens have nuptil flights like ants, or is it something different?

I keep:

pogonomyrmex rugosus

myrmecocystus depilis

monomorium ergatogyna

And many Carnivorous plants such as: Dionea muscipula (fly trap), Sarracenia x 'Fiona' ( American Pitcher plant), Nepenthese ventrata (Tropical Pitcher plant), and Pinguicula agnata x emarginata (Butterwort) (show off your plants here)

Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores it's provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest. Proverbs 6: 6-8

Multiple ant colonies coming soon...

Hello AntsGodzilla;

The University of Guelph in Ontario has a library of excellent beekeeping videos that will answer all your questions.    A video for beginning beekeepers is located here   HOW TO START BEEKEEPING for the Absolute Beginner | Become a Beekeeper | Beekeeping 101   There are many other advanced videos if you develop an interest.  Good Luck
