Does anyone have a idea how to DIY a outworld or a formicarium? (I'm not spending money lol) Maybe out of a leftover container? (I need to  house solenopsis invicta)

Ik about your situation with Solenopsis but Diy for any escape artists needs to be sealed very good.

For your formicarium, you can make it out of literally anything that is long and flat. There is one post from one of the mods who shows you how to make a formicarium from a pill box.

The outworld can be any container that is at least a bit bigger (could be smaller too if no choice) than the formicarium, preferably white. An easy setup would be the tubes and tubs setup. There is a bunch of things on tubes and tubs online.

You can also check journals (Rpt shows a lot of his diy formicarium) or you can ask them for help directly

Currently keeping:

1x Formica subsericea, (used to be polygynous) 20+ workers

1x Lasius umbratus, (Workers accepted) 25 workers with host brood (I think they are dead now lol)

1x Crematogaster cerasi 4 workers with brood (still growing)

As you watch your ants march, remember: every journey begins with a single step (or queen)-not just towards you, but towards a future woven by diligence and shared dreams - Me

(I lost braincells just to make this quote)

The outworld can be any container without any cracks that has a talcum barrier at the top.

The search bat is your greatest resource. There are many threads full of more beneficial information than can be shared here.

Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest. -Proverbs 6: 6-8
