Keeper of brachymyrmex sp.
It would be even better to get a liquid feeder so they have constant access to sugars, allowing them to decide how often to feed themselves.

"God made..... all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds (including ants). And God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:25 NIV version
Keeping:
Formica cf. pallidefulva, cf. incerta, cf. argentea
Formica cf. aserva, cf. subintegra
Myrmica sp.
Lasius neoniger, brevicornis
They currently are in a test tube setup so I can't really add a water feeder, but they also ran out of water on the test tube so would I need to feed them more often? Also would it be better to let the maple syrup absorb in the cotton, or will it just create mold?

It will probably create mold, so what you should do is put the drop on a piece of foil, that way it is very easy to clean up; just put your tweezers in and remove it all.

Currently keeping:
Brachymyrmex patagonicus
Solenopsis invicta
Crematogaster sp.

If the test tube ran out of water you need to move them into a new one. After that I would recommend placing them into a tubs and tubes setup which would allow you to give them a liquid feeder.
