Creepy Things while Anting

Today I was going anting and I found this in the middle of absolutely nowhere. I was wondering if anyone had ever seen anything like this.

That’s actually rather unsettling, I would’ve freaked out and left immediately if I were you. I found a missing shoe while anting once, but I don’t think it was as creepy as that doll.

That’s actually rather unsettling, I would’ve freaked out and left immediately if I were you. I found a missing shoe while anting once, but I don’t think it was as creepy as that doll.

I took a picture then left lol, I almost decided to stop anting but I just left the area and went anting elsewhere

Currently raising: 

Myrmica Rubra (1 queen +  ~5 workers)

Lasius Niger (single queen + ~90+ workers)

Lasius Neoniger (two single queen + brood)

Formica spp. (Queen [likely parasitic, needs brood])

Also keeping a friend's tetramorium immigrans for the foreseeable future. Thanks CoffeBlock!

People lmao, and also stares, I see some creepy people when I ant and they usually give me creepy stares, though if you expect me to provide a picture of a creepy person, I will not. Besides people and stares I have not seen anything creepy, unless you count bugs as creepy, as I do not.

Tetramorium Immigrans
Monomorium Minimum

And many Carnivorous plants such as:

Dionea (fly trap)

Sarracenia x 'Fiona' ( American Pitcher plant)

Nepenthese ventrata (Tropical Pitcher plant

Pinguicula agnata x emarginata (Butterwort)

One time I had a homeless guy just staring at me for like 10 minutes, but is was worth it because I found a Psuedomyrmex apache nest

They fly around April-June.

San Pedro riverbed is pretty terrifying.  you see evidence of cartel activity everywhere.  cops seldom go down there. city won't clear the brush blocking cops from entry.


  big ole aztec-style grafitti in spanish, these are bonafide killers.
