I had to clean up some old test tubes so I made a short video about it. I dunno how other people do it, but this way you don't have to touch moldy cotton.
I mean, you have to touch it with the skewer, but you then sterilize it (which does a lot of cleaning) and by the time it's done, the test tube isn't so disgusting any more.
WARNING: Broken glass can happen. Not for kids to do solo.
