Bought this: Definitely recommended for smaller ant species! I love it. Outworlds are awesome as well, but you may have to drill one hole yourself if you want it to attach to other formicariums/ outworlds. Thanks ExponentMars!

My old formicarium sucks, so I started by connecting it to the outworld, which I will then connect to the newer formicarium (the old one got so dirty because I can't open it without ants escaping. Definitely needs to be replaced with an easier to clean alternative, such as this one).

I also made my own cover for it, so the ants can enjoy natural darkness.

They love the outworld so far! Here they are discovering some dragonfly I gave them.

Currently raising:

Myrmica rubra (1 queen +  ~5 workers)

Lasius niger (single queen + ~90+ workers)

Lasius neoniger (3 single queen + brood)

Formica spp. (Queen [likely parasitic, needs brood])

Formica pacifica (Queen)

Also keeping a friend's tetramorium immigrans for the foreseeable future. Thanks CoffeBlock!

The packaging was great but he places his nests in weird boxes so if anyone's buy from him be aware of that but nest were well made and are perfect for my CA 02!  :D

Haha yes I use whatever nicely-sized cardboard boxes I can find sitting around the house, the coconut water box from costco was pretty silly

Works great for my ca02 as well. Good visibility, and the ants seem to like it and are growing well so far! Good deal as well
