I recently got a small colony of ants which are definitely a Melophorus species, but one I've never seen before, nor know of anyone who has documented them
Queen is closer to 7mm

Queen has quite a rough texture
Workers have spiny bumps on them

A curious Odontomachus queen
A leaf cutter ant worker (Acromyrmex sp.) carrying the stamen of a flower to the nest
Ghost ants (Tapinoma melanocephalum) enjoying a grain of boiled rice
An Odontomachus sp. worker (different species than the queen) carrying a tiny dead cricket home to the nest
Pseudomyrmex cf. grascilis worker foraging on a leaf
A leaf cutter ant (Atta)scout searching for a suitable plant to feed to her colony's fungus

My Camponotus quercicola queen with brood after I fed her some sugar water. She loved it.
