Are there any small clear quarter sized petri style dishes that I could place over the queens I have been catching so I can get a good top view of them.  In the test tube setup they seem to always be on the cotton, making it hard to get a good shot of them with my USB Camera so I can post them for some help identifying them...

Thanks for any ideas!

Todd

Camponotus pennsylvanicus coming out of hibernation and meeting the warm spring sun.

(The dark log, didn't allow for good macro images. But always still a pleasant site.)

My all black Pheidole queen, crippled with missing limbs, layed eggs, but died from "drowning" in honey :(
Never seen this species before her, 7mm in length. No queen should have died the way she did...

My largest dual Pheidole queen's first nanitic worker
These two queens 9mm, with chunky build and bigger gasters than the others I have.
The nanitic is barely 2mm if that

I put down two pieces of raw macadamia outside a Pheidole nest, and the next thing I know, the Pheidole took over one piece.

While the Tetramorium bicarinatum the other, and fights erupted.

And then a single Pheidole major came out and smashed faces! B)
