Man ANTdrew, you impress the h*** out of me! Ant speciation, bee speciation, now flowers and plants too! I’m still struggling to get ant speciation right. I’ve been cheating on the flowers and plants. I use this National Geographic app, iNaturalist https://www.inaturalist.org/ but even it didn’t have a clue to what this vine is. I’ve spent the morning trying to figure out what it is. Here are some pictures.

The second shot shows more of the leaves intertwined with Virginia creeper (which is a possible candidate). It could be American bittersweet but I don’t believe it flowers. The slightly-serrated teardrop shape leads me to think it’s not a sow thistle. Have a look and let me know what you think. I’m stumped.

Thanks! I am a certified VA Master Naturalist, so all this was part of our training back in 2013. I’d say this is Oriental bittersweet.

Plants are easy to ID, especially since most areas just have a handful of Eurasian invasives now.

Instead of that you can hit “more reply options” and attach the file directly or upload the picture to the gallery then hit “my media” I believe.

Not the best photos I've ever taken, but good enough imo (compared to some of mine) to show here:

Formica cf. podzolica with five queens & eggs and larvae:

Nice! Are you sure that the Tetramorium queen is T.sushimae?
