I’m not sure why I never shared much about this colony, but I’ve decided they are worth highlighting. My buddy found this queen three years ago, and we named her after his ant hating mother-in-law, Carol. I never intended to keep them long term, but somehow nobody has ever been interested in buying them either, so here they are three years later. They are a robust colony, and they live in an entirely homemade setup. I do not hydrate their nest at all anymore, but instead give them plenty of water in their outworld via byFormica liquid feeders. Enjoy the following photos of Queen Carol and her colony.
