Hello, been keeping ants for about a year now. I currently keep lassius n, messor b, and acorn ants, that I've had for 1 year
I managed to catch a pair of lassius flavus that have just laid some eggs last month and I recently brought bamboo sugar ants, crematogaster scuttellaris and some bi colour honey pot ants. Looking forward to learning a lot more about ants.

Welcome! Lately we haven't had a ton of European ant keepers on the forum, so I'd love to hear about your experiences and some classic European species.
"God made..... all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds (including ants). And God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:25 NIV version
Keeping:
Formica cf. pallidefulva, cf. incerta, cf. argentea
Formica cf. aserva, cf. subintegra
Myrmica sp.
Lasius neoniger, brevicornis

ThanksWelcome! Lately we haven't had a ton of European ant keepers on the forum, so I'd love to hear about your experiences and some classic European species.
So my messor queen has been an interesting one, originally she was very skittish to the point I felt guilty for even owning her and now she's turned into a very confident queen, when I feed them she comes out to eat I gave them a fruit fly and it got into the nest all the workers were freaking out and she just walked over grabbed it and slammed it into the ground. She's my fav queen for sure right now. My lassius are very quiet I see one or two workers out if I'm lucky and my acorn ants I've never seen them leave the nest or feed but they've had a population boom so I know they're eating.
I was wondering is there a DIY section on this forum? I want to make a nest for my honeypots but want to check what materials are safe for them
Thanks

I miss SleepyAsianAnter. In fact there's a lot of people I miss that went silent in recent years.
